Nice caf overlooking the reserve, indoor and outdoor seating. Popular stopping off point for walkers and cyclists. Good shop (for bird-related equipment and bird-themed gifts. Range of binoculars to hire or try/buy).
I love this place. If you don't have a car or your own transport it is time costly as well as monetarily costly too. But what an amazing array of birds you can see. Always a few knowledgeble people there. Lovely grounds and great facilities
A lovely, well kept nature reserve. Something for everyone, young and old. The cafe is great with a wide choice of foods and seating inside and out. The shop and staff are also great. Would highly recommend, a lovely gentle walk with lots to see.
If you're new to bird watching, Pulborough Brooks is the perfect place to go. There are several hides with views across a wide area of wetlands and a great many species can be seen quite close to the hides. There is nearly always an expert on hand in one or more of the hides who can help you with identification. You can get an excellent lunch in the caf and the shop sells gifts, bird food and feeders, clothing and a good selection of binoculars and telescopes that you can try before you buy.
As members of the RSPB we come down here every couple of months. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming. Today as the sun went down we stood and watched beautiful barn owl gracefully flying around over the fields down near the Brooks. So tranquil. We always see something new or different when we come.
