We found this little place on our way back from the beach. My children spotted the sign for roman villa and wanted to see what is was. We wasnt expecting what we found. Its a lovely little bit of history, the actual ruins from an old villa, it still has a roman bath and the mosac tiles. The children enjoyed putting on costumes and playing with the roman games was a great find

First visited in the 60's.Roman Villas are always worth a visit. Fabulous location and terrific views. Stunning mosaics. Very informative. Nice cafe serving delicious cakes. Outside seating. Large free car park. I walked from Amberley station. Under the bridge turn right. Follow the river. Cross bridge and aim for the church spire (Bury). Go up the lane until you hit the main road. Cross. Follow the sign Bignor/Roman Villa. A flat, veryenjoyable trip of about 5 miles.

Very interesting place to visit. Lots of Roman artifacts incredibly well preserved and very friendly staff good parking and toilets.Web site could be more informative and there could be more information around the buildings. Great place if anyone has homework on the Roman's.Cafe very very basic and chilly in the winter. Your best to take drinks and snacks with you and use the picnic area.

Fantastic mosaics people very friendly. Reasonable entry fee. Lovely tearoom serving decaff tea and coffee. Child friendly with costumes to dress up in. Would recommend a visit

Went on recommendation. If you like history then you will find this interesting, if not then don't waste your time. I like history and find places like this always worth a visit. It is amazing how these mosaics were so well preserved and subsequently restored. If you have kids take a picnic and sit in the grounds. The cafe is very well priced for a small attraction.
