Accommodation was spacious and comfortable....Nice clean rooms. Breakfast selection was great and very tasty. Ordered evening meal - great choices, as well as a specials menu. Food was great and so was the service.

Family Sunday lunch for about 20 of us. Friendly, helpful staff. Good atmosphere. Great food.

Chose this as part of our staycation and what a find it was. We stayed for 5 nights using it as a base to go out and about. We ate in the pub each night and had breakfast each morning before setting off.The full cooked breakfast is a decent size and quality ingredients. Other options are available. Cereals, yogurt, jams, croissants etc. Enough to set you up for the day.The evening meals is where the labouring man absolutely shines. Quality ingredients of a very generous size, without being too much. It was undoubtedly an ideal way to end each day. The owners are working incredibly hard to get this business back to where it should be with great help from the young members of staff. Nothing is too much for them and they really do go that extra mile. We had room 1 and it was excellent, a king size bed that was really comfortable. The bathroom had a shower. Plenty of hanging and drawer space to allow you to unpack. The bar itself has its regulars who are all very friendly and will offer ideas on ways to fill your day. Overall an exceptional stay in a very pleasant pub, with people who take customer service seriously. I could not recommend this place enough.

Rooms: homely, clean, beds extremely comfortable and nice decor touches. WiFi signal great. Bar/food: great selection of drinks, breakfast was perfect both hot and selections of cereal and fruit. Meals were exceptional and amazing variety from English classics to Indian spices. Staff: some of the friendliest people I have even met in my life. Martin the owner is an amazing host and will make sure you are always comfortable. Area: beautiful, secluded and quiet. Amazing county village and peaceful but not to detached from the world. Locals are very welcoming and warm.Highly recommend staying here and will be back again soon.

We stayed here as we had a wedding reception to attend locally.. the pub manager Martyn was lovely..all staff were polite. The whole place is clean and freshly decorated. Can not fault the room at all. It was beautiful..with its own bathroom..tea/coffee tv..room price includes full breakfast.Would definitely stay again and well recommend it.
